Placebo – Live in India in 2010!

After the brilliant news that Porcupine Tree is going to be part of the 2009 Mood Indigo festival at IIT Bombay, it is now turn to rejoice again as one of my favourite bands, Placebo is all set to tour India in 2010.

According to their official website, tour dates have been announced only until the end of 2009. However, a reliable source in the form of the good old folks at Indecision has specified that they will be doing a multi-city tour of the country.

With tracks such as “Pure Morning”, “You don’t care about us”, “Without you I’m nothing” and the hugely popular “Every You and Every Me”, this band’s music has made for good listening when I’ve been down and blue and helped compound that feeling siginifcantly.

I remember being introduced to Placebo the first time when I heard their version of the Pixies song, “Where is my mind”, on the Fight Club soundtrack and I strongly hope that I get to see them live soon.

Naah, looks like they aren’t. I’ve been tripping on them quite a bit, but I stopped listening to them previously because everytime I’d listen to their albums, my then girlfriend and I used to have bad fights. Not enough data points to establish a strong correlation, but even the most rational of us can be stupid about such things on occasion.
