You have no idea how grateful I am for the fact that you’re reading this and wasting a few minutes of your precious life in something absolutely irrelevant to your cause. Ok, I was just being facetious – I know for sure that there’s some posts that would’ve given you information you needed.
After having taken up cycling, I now want to know if there are people who want to skate around in Bangalore. Roller skating in Bangalore sure seems like fun, and if there are people out there that use it for short range travel, can you please give me the following information?
- How much does a pair of good roller skates cost?
- Where can I buy them? I’d prefer going to a store, but online will also do, so long as I have an option to return it if need be.
- Is there a dedicated website for promoting roller skating in Bangalore, like we have Bums on the Saddle for biking?
- How much can I rough-use the aforesaid pair of good roller skates? Given Bangalore’s roads and the conditions present, I’d like to know how I should treat the pair.
Please do put forth any leads / information that you think might be useful to further this cause. I think I can re-use my cycling helmet when I’m roller-skating as well, so that’s one less thing to worry about. Looking forward to your inputs, if any. Thanks in advance.

How much does a pair of good roller skates cost?
YOu have to buy a complete kit… knee and elbow pads, gloves, helmet and the skates of course… cost for adult feet size typically between 1K – 2K.

– dont buy online… YOu really NEED to try the skates before buying them. Go to sports stores in Jayanagar (3rd or 4th block). There is Huge toys shop (i forget the name) where i last checked good skates.

– if you are buying one of em Hard plastic sorta wheels, you can rough use it for a good 2 – 3 years, no doubt.
