Twitter Fundas

It is only recently that I've caught on with the whole twitter phenomenon, previously being a passive observer of the same as a few other people I know went about twittering away to glory. Despite using my twitter account regularly now, I doubt that I put up anything of significance, much like how I unleash on my website as [...]

Much Ado about Leave

For four years now, since I have commenced life as a working professional, the subject of leave is a very touchy one, so far as broaching the same with one's managers is concerned. I have noticed that while I can talk about any leave plans I have with some manager that I have already worked with for a few months, if I have to inform a manager [...]

India’s Answer to Prom Night

I am quite sure everyone who has chanced upon this website knows what prom night is. Prom night has had enough and more references in movies, books and other means of propagating mainstream American pop culture to have remained hidden from those outside of the US and Canada. Prom, short for promenade is a social gathering that marks the end of [...]

Wanted : LOL Code Developers

It was a fateful day sometime in the early part of this year when Tharunya sent me a link to this popular internet meme called the LOLcats. I found it quite absurdly funny, and thereafter, forwarded the link from this meme to a few of my friends, who, I was certain hadn't seen it before. In turn, on receiving that link and having seen it, I was [...]

License to Parent

Just when you thought the License Raj which was a characteristic of post-Independence, pre-liberalization India was a thing of the past, Bangalore city seems to be engulfed in a flurry of license related issues. With new government regulations put into place that have banned live performances in places serving alcohol, smoking within enclosed [...]

Yay!!! South Bangalore gets a Multiplex!!!

...with a mall thrown in for added measure. Yes, all of us that live and take pride in the awesomeness and modesty of south Bangalore now don't have to suffer the indignity of going all the way to the Forum, to Garuda Mall, to Lido Mall, or God forbid, to that horribly distant Innovative Multiplex to watch a movie. Not just that, as an [...]

My Own Music Channel

When I have enough money, I plan to do a Rupert Murdoch and start my own set of TV channels to beam live via satellite. One such channel will be dedicated exclusively to the genre of acid rock and its other variants such as acid punk and acid lounge and what not. I've decided to name that channel.......wait for it.......pH1!!

Word of the day : Obaminable

Firstly, I am not supporting anyone in the upcoming US Presidential Elections. I'm more bothered about who my corporator, my MLA, my MP and my PM will be. However, you can't run away from, and you can't most certainly hide from all the attention that the media is paying to the entire campaign. Nevertheless, for the record, I think Obama [...]
