Nirvana Anyone?

Has anyone ever listened to Nirvana five or six years ago, and thought Kurt Cobain was the Messiah for the jilted generation, with his untimely death and his amazing music only to realize when listening to it presently that none of it makes any sense?

Does anyone else’s mind conjure up the following words when itunes accidentally playes songs like ‘lithium’ and ‘drain you’ after eons – ‘WHAT THE FISHSTICKS WERE YOU THINKING?’.

    Yeah i guess some people like yours truly and some of his contemporaries did listen to Nirvana 5-6 years ago and hailed him as a rock god instantaneously. We had also nicknamed a certain guy after Kurt.

    Recently some black and white video of Nirvana was displayed on VH1. I don’t know if people have noticed in previous Nirvana videos that Kurt was a lefty at playing the guitar.

    Anyone who hates this band today is just trying to be cool, and needs to be trying harder

    @archana,
    Well, I guess sometimes you stop connecting with stuff you were really into some time ago. I think that is called ‘moving on’ or ‘growing up’.

    @Tall Dude,
    Dude, Kurt was among the most famous lefty guitarists ever. It is no coincidence that when I put Seattle visit, there was no end of comparisions between two of its favourite musicians. Hendrix was also lefty, died young and all that.
