Geeksta

Consider this the calm after the storm. After putting up six posts last morning, my itch to post has somewhat subsided. I am not really sure what got over me when I went bonkers at the keyboard, but it sure was fun.

I am not sure anyone enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it, ah well.

On saturday, my month and a half old Rubik’s cube, purchased for INR 20 on Brigade Road from a kid who was selling the stuff at a traffic signal finally gave way. The irony of the situation was that I had finally figured out how to solve it, and that too in decent time, and as fate conspired, the blocks started coming loose and all the pieces came into my hands, one by one.

Thats the way the Rubik’s Cube crumbles.

But now, I have hopes. I saw this chap, Tyson, on Beauty and The Geek putting speed cubing, and I would like to get gear similar to the one that he has, because the cube I had was of low quality and had a lot of friction, this ensuring that there was a substantial amount of time spent in delicately handling the cube so as to get the arrangements correctly.

I think I would also qualify for a desi version of Beauty and the Geek, but I somehow can’t think of any equivalent sounding terms in the vernacular that would be half as appropriate, all things considered.

Anyone out there know where I could pick up a good quality Rubik’s cube? Price no constraint, but I am a cheap guy.
