Deathly Hallows Trivia

Possible Harry Potter book 7 spoilers BEGIN here
Like all other Harry Potter enthusiasts, I managed to finish reading ‘The Deathly Hallows’ on the very same day that I picked it from the bookstore. However, the fast pace and the information packed in the book warranted a second reading, which I just finished a few days ago, and some interesting things came to notice, which I wanted to blog about back then itself, but waited till all those who could possibly read the book had done so.

According to the gravestones that Harry sees of his parents, Lily Potter is born on 30th Jaunary 1960, while James Potter on 30th March 1960. So James Potter married an elder woman. Nice. Respect to the man, and to JKR for adding that bit.

Snape’s character was probably the most intriguing, in hindsight, and although one knew there was more to him than the eye could see, it would’ve been bad, had he not been good.

Another thing I’ve noticed is my reluctance to share, with those people who haven’t read the book, as to what actually happens in the very end. I am very free in discussing the book and the plot twists with those who’ve actually read the Deathly Hallows, but anyone else who asks me (and there have been quite a few people who have) is told to read it or find out on the wikipedia page, for I refuse to act as a spoiler.

Its sort of like this unspoken of honour code among book-readers, that I am reluctant to violate, just like I am reluctant to jump a red traffic signal even if there is no traffic around, patiently waiting for the signal in front of me to turn green.

JKR is now writing a crime novel, or so they say. We await, once more, with a substantial amount of patience.
