Death to the people who leaked the Deathly Hallows

One of my previous posts had something about a well-written (but definitely not in the style of JKR) piece of fan-fiction by someone who goes by the handle Melindaleo, on the Phoenix Song site.

The small amount of hype that was generated when this book was floated as being ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ was soon quelled once some substantial digging up was done to authenticate this book, and much to the relief of everyone concerned, it wasn’t the real McCoy.

Now, a few days ago, there were rumours spread about the book having leaked again, and this time around, with the book release fast approaching, the odds of it being the actual Deathly Hallows cannot be ruled out, and hence dismissed lightly.

The publishers, Scholastic and Bloomsbury are trying their very best to suppress the leaking of the book, regardless of whether it is actually the real book that has been leaked out.

JKR has also implored all those that could possibly do potential harm to millions of people eagerly awaiting the finale to have patience and help keep whatever they know under wraps, for the whole world will find out ‘EVERYTHING’ in a very short span of time.

It is heartening to note that most of the people concerned and in the know of what happens have, in the spirit of greater good of all the book lovers out there, decided to help keep the plot under wraps until the time actually comes to know what will really happen.

I for one will be at the Strand Book Stall in the wee hours of Saturday morning, hoping to grab my copy of the Deathly Hallows. To all those who’ve tried leaking the book or tried to do something bad for whatever their reasons be – bad Karma will get you in the end, I hope.
