Makad Manav

Makad Manav is the name that Spiderman 3′s Bhojpuri-dubbed version has been given. Bhojpuri is the latest in a series of Indian languages that Hollywood movies are being dubbed in.

Spiderman 3 was released in India on 4th May this year, with 120 prints in English, 220 in Hindi, 75 each in Tamil and Telugu and 15 in Bhojpuri.

Being an ardent lover of Mithun da and his movies, I for one would sure love to watch this version of Spidey as well, and given how the english version of the movie has been received so far, I wouldn’t put it past people to suggest that the Bhojpuri version would be more entertaining.

Hum makad manav hain, ud kar aayab aur tohar tetuwa dabaa deb!!(I am Spiderman, I will fly to you and throttle you!!) is what you will hear our super-hero say.

The voice for Tobey McGuire is being given by ‘the ShahRukh Khan of Bhojpuri cinema’, Ravi Kishan, who one might have seen on Big Boss before.

Ravi Kishan also has done some major diaogue improvisation to include some poems of Tulsidas into the dialogues that he belts out.

Youtube (our saviour), is peppered with a whole host of dubbed stuff, including Spiderman in Punjabi and Bhojpuri, Matrix in Malayalam and God only knows what else.

Its a wonderful world out there on youtube, lets go exploring!
