Shakira, Shakira

Shakira came and sang and shook her kundi left and right and every other possible way imaginable, defying all laws of gravity and making us wonder if the human body could move the way it did. Or atleast, I hope she danced that way. I don’t know, I wasn’t there.

But I was just thinking of the fact that anyone (apart from the organizers and the support staff from DNA and the other sponsors), who actually attended the Iron Maiden concert and then paid good money to watch Shakira is probably more fit to be at home at the latter than at the former.

If it is a woooman who attended both concerts, she can be given the benefit of doubt and can be assumed to be a true fan of both artists in question. There would be a distinct possibility that a member of the fairer sex is a curious metal-head of sorts, who also has been going for salsa pr latino dance classes for whatever reasons. Hence visitations to both concerts after paying good money wouldn’t exactly be considered out of the line.

However, if a guy were to do the same, he’d be gay. A dude can’t be a die-hard Maiden lover and also like Shakira at the same time. Its a bad combination, sort of like having chillies as an ingredient while preparing a jam (a lousy analogy just so you get my drift). The chances of a guy making it to both would happen under the following cases:
(a) if he’s truly a Shakira fan and decided to go to the Maiden concert for arbit reasons, to show off that he was there, some big pseudo types fellow.
(b) He’s actually a Maiden fan, but was forced to go to the Shakira concert due to reasons beyond his control, such as, perhaps, a hot date for that evening.

The list is not exhaustive, do fill it up with more ideas.

Its been 10 days, but the Iron Maiden hangover still remains.

Up with the irons.

i’m gay only. if i were in mumbai, i’d surely have gone for the shakira concert, just ‘cuz i think she’s the hottest woman alive, that’s all..

macha, what are the odds that you’d be able to see her from close enough to get your money’s worth?

The alternative would be to see her on giant screen paying huge money, while you can watch her concert DVDs in the comfort of your living room, sipping on some fine wine at the same time.

hmmmm, quite possible, so far as mapping out all the scenarios encompassed by probability theory is concerned. But then again, it would intersect option (a) to a small extent.
